Built in 1901 the magnificent wood fired masonry ovens played an integral part in the self sustaining life style of the Sisters of Good Shepherd at the historic Abbotsford Convent. The Convent Annexe or Kitchen Wing which served as a central place for the preparation, cooking and baking of all food for the convent is today a home for bakers, pastry chefs and a couple of old scotch ovens that are once again baking our daily bread.
The bakery is open every day of the week from 7am to 5pm. A full breakfast and lunch menu is available daily as well as fresh wood fired bread and pastries.
